When an AED is Beeping: AED Maintenance and Servicing

Any piece of emergency equipment, whether it is a tourniquet, a fully-stocked First Aid Kit, or an AED, is worthless if you buy it and forget it.

If your AED is allowed to become just a fixture on the wall and no one gives it a second thought, not only will its components expire and it may fail during an emergency, but if it sits in the corner and your employees have never looked at it, opened it, or been trained in its use, many of them may not be confident in how to use it in a high-stress situation, and many of them may not even know where it is in the office or on the campus.
